We value homework as part of your child’s learning process and as a way to support learning between home and school. All classes, apart from FS1, provide weekly homework. Homework is also set at different times of the year to cover certain holiday periods.

Homework is given in a range of forms. Children enjoy doing projects - covering a range of subjects, their own research, carefully chosen activity sheets and online learning. Spellings, mental maths activities and reading books are also sent home (as appropriate) for each year group. Your parent packs have full information for the homework for each Key Stage of the school.

Homework is carefully planned for and is checked and marked on a weekly basis. Teachers always explain the homework before it is given out. Homework that is not completed fully is returned to the child so that it can be completed and then handed in to the teacher for re-marking.
